Google's recent updates have sent shockwaves through the online world, leading to significant changes in search engine results.
One such update resulted in a mass de-indexing, leaving many website owners scrambling to understand the implications.
This update was driven by the rising cost of energy. Even Google can not afford to store the vast amount of content they demand from websites. With the introduction of A.I. (artificial intelligence) too much content is being produced too fast for Google to be able to keep up with it. In the crazy world of Google, they decided to de-index (remove) websites from their search engine and start again. Only re-indexing worthy content that isn't purely A.I. generated.
Thankfully we don't use purely A.I. generated content, so our SEO clients didn't experience a full de-indexation. However, websites that link to them have, so there has still been a significant decrease in traffic to websites.
SEO still remains the most cost effective way to increase people visiting your website, which leads to more customers. So we continue the battle with Google and our clients competition.
